DEERFIELD, NH – A New Hampshire girl was seriously injured after her father ran their vehicle off the road.
According to New Hampshire police, the 9-year-old victim sustained serious injuries after her father drove their pickup truck off the road and struck a tree on Sunday. Police say the man was driving under the influence when the incident took place.
Authorities say the pickup swerved on Route 107 in Deerfield and crashed into a tree on the passenger’s side.
Bradford Gannon, 30, of Rochester was arrested following the incident. He claims he swerved to avoid hitting a deer. However, he already had two previous DWI convictions and had been out on bail for a DWI arrest in Maine.
Gannon is being held on $10,000 bail.
The young girl was hospitalized in Boston. Her current condition remains unknown.
